Born and raised in Scotland, and having lived across the United States (currently West Virginia) through my adult life, art has always been a part of me. Though my journey has not always been a bed of roses, I try to find the best in every situation.
Why have art in your home "just because"?
Art should stir emotions, be it happy, or melancholy, memories from the past, or visions for the future.

I use many different mediums, such as clay, oil, wood, and watercolor.
Walking and finding a piece of wood could just starts the process. What happens to the wood afterwords, that is anyone's guess.
But like all good things intuitively it comes to me.

Movement and nature play a huge part in my inspiration. My paintings tell a story, but what's fun is that everyone relates differently to a painting or picture. Therefore, there may be many different perspectives.
So I guess you could say life is my inspiration.
